    • Customers are billed for wastewater based on the wastewater rate and the amount of water used (in cubic metres) as measured by the installed water meter. This charge covers the cost to collect, transport and treat the sewage. The base monthly charge is based on the water meter size and covers the cost of the water meter, customer service, and the billing process. The sewer rate for 2019 is $2.54 per cubic metre.
  • Broadband Network:
    • Urban areas of the Township of Centre Wellington have access to a full-fibre network to homes and businesses in addition to a full dark fibre network that provides additional opportunities for businesses. Public buildings and the downtown areas in both Fergus and Elora, are fully covered with public access Wi-Fi. Services by Bell Canada, Rogers Communications, Silo Wireless and Wightman Telecom.
