The Elora and Fergus Downtown Shuttle Program is an initiative designed to enhance transportation accessibility and connectivity within these two communities while helping to alleviate parking constraints.

This program involves providing a weekend shuttle service during peak tourism hours (11am - 5pm) during the summer months, operating between key locations identified between Elora and Fergus.

The purpose of this shuttle service is to:

1. Improve Local Mobility: The aim is to make is easier for residents, visitors, and tourists to move around within the downtown areas without relying solely on personal vehicles. This helps to reduce traffic congestion and parking issues.
2. Enhance Tourism: Elora and Fergus are known for their picturesque landscapes, historic sites, and cultural attractions. This encourages tourism by providing convenient transportation for visitors to explore these attractions without the hassle of driving and parking.
3. Promoting Sustainability: The shuttle program aligns with the Township's sustainability goals by encouraging the use of public transportation instead of individual vehicles. This can help reduce carbon emissions and environmental impact associated with car travel.
