The Township of Centre Wellington is committed to accessibility in our community. Council has adopted a multi-year accessibility plan that outlines a strategy to remove and prevent accessibility barriers.
To aid in achieving our accessibility goals, the Township is part of the wellington accessibility partnership, a collaboration with the County of Wellington, the City of Guelph, the Homewood Health Centre and the Upper Grand District School Board. Together, we have adopted the Wellington County Facility Accessibility Design Manual (FADM).
The FADM outlines the Township's commitment for accessibility within township-owned facilities. The township uses the FADM for new construction as well as renovation projects. The purpose of the manual is to provide a higher level of accessibility than is currently offered in the Ontario Building Code.
