Celebrate Ontario Culture Days in Centre Wellington: “CommUNITY – A Melody of 25 Years”

CENTRE WELLINGTON – As part of Ontario Culture Days, Centre Wellington is once again excited to join in on the three-week celebration of arts and culture themed “CommUNITY: A Melody of 25 Years,” commemorating the Township’s 25^th Anniversary of Amalgamation. From September 20 to October 13, 2024, residents and visitors can look forward to over 60 engaging events that highlight the rich cultural tapestry of our community.

This year’s theme, emphasizes the importance of coming together to celebrate our diverse heritage and shared experiences. The celebration aims to foster connections among residents with our arts and culture community by showcasing local artists, musicians, and cultural organizations.

“We sent out a call to event organizers, community members, and businesses to submit their ideas earlier this year,” said Paula Sealey, Community Development Coordinator. “In working with the Elora Fergus Arts Council, we’ve been able to breathe life into these amazing ideas and provide micro-grants to help support our arts and culture community in creating something really special for Culture Days.” Free (or pay-what-you-may) events and activities will take place across the community this year and will highlight many local cultural groups, individuals, spaces and activities.
