Council Approves the 2025 Budget

CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Monday, December 16, the Township Council approved the 2025 Budget, which includes a 3.49% increase in the Township portion of the property tax rate. The 2025 budget passage will result in an increase of approximately $50 on the local portion of the tax bill for the average assessed residential property within the Township, or $4.17 per month, to support the continued delivery of essential programs, services, and investment in critical infrastructure for residents.

“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to both Council and our dedicated staff for their hard work and collaboration in shaping the 2025 budget,” said Mayor Watters.   This is one of the most important tasks we undertake each year, and commitment to making thoughtful, balanced decisions is invaluable. The efforts put forth to ensure that we continue to serve the needs of our residents while planning for a prosperous and sustainable future. I am proud of what we've accomplished together, and I look forward to this budget's positive impact on our community."
