Levels of Service Plan Survey open for public input

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Township is in the process of creating a clear and complete Levels of Service (LOS) plan to meet the 2025 requirements outlined in Ontario Regulation 588/17. We will also build on the work already done in the current asset management plan to make the most of our resources and provide better value for our staff and the community.

"Providing reliable and efficient Levels of Service is essential to ensuring that our community thrives,” said Mayor Watters.  “It’s about balancing the needs of our residents, enhancing their quality of life, and being responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us. By setting clear standards, we can deliver services that not only meet today’s demands but are also sustainable for the future."

The Township provides a range of services at the right levels, while carefully managing costs and minimizing risks. Our goal is to deliver the greatest value to the community. The Township’s asset management plan outlines both the current services we provide and the proposed future changes, which may include enhancing existing services, reducing service levels, or introducing new ones. It also details how we will fund these changes to ensure they are sustainable and effectively meet the needs of our residents.

Many factors play a role in determining what services the Township provides and at what levels. These include various legislative requirements, community expectations, financial constraints, available resources, as well as strategic planning goals and objectives.  With the Township’s asset management plan due for an update in 2025, we are seeking public input that will help support the development of a levels of service framework for the next 10 years including assessing performance, risks, costs, funding and identifying any gaps.
