Councillor Barbara Lustgarten-Evoy

Barbara Lustgarten-Evoy is a proud wife and mother and a deeply dedicated community volunteer.  Barb has been working with youth and their families for over 25 years. She is an experienced educator and served as Trustee for Centre Wellington with the Upper Grand District School Board before being elected as Township Councillor for Centre Wellington/Fergus Ward 3.  She is a professional Mediator, Host of Your TV’s Parenting With Barbara, Co-Host of Wightman TV’s ‘This is CW!’ and has written 2 books focused on building self-esteem (one for youth). She Chairs the Groves Hospital Foundation, is Director of Youth Services for Fergus Elora Rotary, and is Chair of the Safe Communities’ Mental Health PAG. She is a member of PFAC, CAMH, Member of the Mutli-Stakeholders’ Group for Early Intervention for Eating Disorders YWHO-CHEO, Vice Chair of CWOW (Collaborative Women of Centre Wellington), is the Canadian Co-ordinator for RAGAS (an action group against human trafficking), and Chairs the Canadian Declaration Coalition (a global group fighting human trafficking and modern slavery). Barb is also the owner/operator of local business Fergus Educational Services, and continually finds great joy in serving our communities' youth and families.
